Silvie Storbakken of Normandy Park, Washington began participating in Special Olympics in December 2023 with alpine skiing and has since expanded to swimming and golf. Through Special Olympics, she has built confidence, formed new friendships, and discovered a love for competition! Silvie has already earned gold medals in both swimming and alpine skiing and advanced from intermediate to advanced levels in skiing. She stays active through Tae Kwon Do, skating, and horseback riding and looks forward to the excitement of competition and travel with her team.
