Cindy Hernandez Hernandez from Kent has been competing in Special Olympics track and field for the past year. She has pushed herself to try new challenges, including overcoming stage fright and learning a new sport. Cindy was part of a relay team that broke the Washington State meet record in the Unified Sprint Medley Relay and helped her team place second in the state. Outside of athletics she enjoys dancing with a traditional Mexican dance group and creating projects in woodshop.
